Whoppo is a docudrama set in New York. It is a story of a young Italian who moves to New York, the city he already knows from movies, books and songs; and amongst citations and tourist landmarks he'll manage to discover much more then he had expected. Whoppo is comprised of documentary fragments, interviews and fiction scenes, featuring an actor impersonating Whoppo. It will be filmed in diverse locations, both indoors and outdoors, and the leitmotiv of the movie are the e-mails which the protagonist writes to his friends in Italy, telling them about his experience. Whoppo speaks about identity and the perception of self and of others, about discovery and the acceptance of diversity. Ulysses in the city of Buster Keaton, in the great urban acquarium of New York City: the state of mind where the fish of all the oceans and sizes swim in the same pool.

Whoppo is intended for those who love cinema, those who enjoy music or like to travel.

Whoppo è un docudrama che si svolge a New York. E' la storia di un giovane Italiano che si trasferisce a New York, la città che già conosce tramite film, libri e canzoni; attraverso citazioni e tappe obbligate scoprirà molto più di quanto si aspettasse. Whoppo si compone di parti documentaristiche, interviste e scene di fiction, con un attore che impersona Whoppo. Verrà ambientato in diverse location e il filo conduttore della storia saranno le e-mail che il protagonista scrive ai suoi amici in Italia raccontando della sua esperienza. Whoppo parla dell'identità e della percezione di sé e dell'altro, della scoperta e l'accetazione della diversità. Ulisse Joyciano nella città e un poco Buster Keaton, il tutto immerso nel grande acquario metropolitano di New York City, uno stato mentale dove pesci di tutti gli oceani nuotano nella stessa vasca.
